REENG vs Sapo

Sapo is Vietnam's omnichannel retail POS leader. REENG is the service-first, offline-first alternative built for spa, salon, restaurant, cafe, and KTV. Different tools for different jobs.

Short answer

If you sell products from a shelf and need Shopee/Lazada/TikTokShop sync, Sapo is the right tool — they own omnichannel retail in Vietnam.

If you sell services + time slots + commission-based work (spa, salon, restaurant with reservations, cafe, KTV), REENG is built for you. Sapo wasn't.

When to pick which

When Sapo is the right pick

  • Retail business with shelves of SKUs (clothing store, mini-mart, electronics shop)
  • Omnichannel seller — needs Shopee / Lazada / TikTokShop sync as core requirement
  • Already invested in Sapo's online-storefront ecosystem
  • Pure transactional commerce with light or no service component

When REENG is the right pick

  • Spa, salon, restaurant, cafe, or KTV — service-led businesses Sapo wasn't built for
  • Appointment-based business where bookings are core to the workflow
  • Service staff need commission tracking (therapists, stylists, servers)
  • F&B operator needing KOT (kitchen order tickets) and table management
  • Anyone who's lost transactions during an internet outage

3 questions that decide

1. Do you take appointments / bookings?

If yes → REENG. Sapo has no booking. If no → Sapo works fine.

2. Do you sell on Shopee, Lazada, or TikTokShop?

If yes → Sapo (omnichannel is their strength). If no → REENG doesn't need to match this feature.

3. Do staff earn commission per service?

If yes → REENG. Sapo's retail-SKU model doesn't track service commission. If no → either works.

Migration FAQ

Can I migrate from Sapo to REENG?

Yes — for the parts of your data that map across (customers, services, products, historical sales). Sapo's retail-specific data (Shopee/Lazada sync state, online storefront content) doesn't migrate because REENG doesn't have those features. If omnichannel is core to your business, you may want to keep Sapo for that and add REENG for booking + service.

Why is Sapo cheaper at entry?

Sapo's entry tier (~200k VND) includes transactional POS only. REENG's Starter at 490k includes appointment booking + offline mode + commission tracking + multi-vertical support. If you only need transactional POS, Sapo is cheaper. If you need service-business features, REENG includes them at the entry tier.

Does Sapo work for spa or salon?

Sapo doesn't have a spa/salon mode. Service businesses can technically use it, but commission, bookings, and stylist scheduling either don't exist or have to be tracked separately (Excel, Zalo). REENG was built service-first from day one.

Does Sapo do online-store + POS in one?

Yes — that's their biggest strength. If you sell on Shopee + Lazada + TikTokShop + your own storefront AND want one inventory view across all of them, Sapo is built for exactly this. REENG doesn't compete here.

Can I use REENG and Sapo together?

Yes — many hybrid businesses do. Sapo for online retail, REENG for in-person service / appointments. The two don't share data automatically, but they don't conflict either.
